Patron Saint:

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux is the patron saint of the store. She is also known as Saint Thérèse of the Little Flower, Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus, the Little Flower or simply Saint Teresa. However, she is distinct from the Spanish Saint Teresa of Avila.

The name given to Saint Thérèse at birth was Marie-Françoise-Thérèse Martin. She was born January 2, 1873 in Alençon, France and died September 30, 1897 in Lisieux, France were the convent was located.

Saint Thérèse was a Roman Catholic Carmelite Nun. She was canonized on May 17, 1925 and her feast day is celebrated on October 1st.

The name of the store, which does not use the hyphenation or accentuation, originates from some of the french words of Saint Thérèse’s poem number 24. “Jésus, mon Bien-Aimé, rappelle-toi!” The translation is Jesus, My Beloved, remember me.
